National Women’s Health and Fitness Day

Every year on the last day of September, National Women’s Health and Fitness Day is observed. This observance strives to bring attention to the importance of regular physical activity and health awareness and is the largest day for women of all ages to celebrate their health.

At local health and fitness events, an estimated 80,000 to 100,000 women of all ages congregate to encourage one another to start or maintain a healthy lifestyle. The goal of these events and celebrations is to inspire women to take charge of their own health, gain the necessary information to make informed health decisions, and plan regular physical activity.
