Every year on October 22, International Stuttering Awareness Day is observed, that serves to raise public awareness about the speech disorder that affects 1% of the global population. In honor of this day, we’ve gathered answers to the most asked questions about stuttering.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM) takes place each October and is about removing the barriers to care cancer patients face, educating the public on the obstacles of getting diagnosed, and minimizing disparities between races, genders, and ethnicities.
The month of August is Gastroparesis Awareness Month, sponsored by the International Foundation for Gastrointestinal Disorders (IFFGD). August is aimed at “focusing attention on important health messages about gastroparesis diagnosis, treatment, and quality of life issues.”
Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month takes place each June to provide the opportunity to learn about brain health and share the facts of Alzheimer’s Disease.
